PROGRAMS
Junior Appalachian Musicians
After-school program students at Stecoah Valley Center are also
offered the opportunity to participate in the Junior Appalachian
Musicians (JAM) program. JAM students learn to play the fiddle,
banjo, mandolin, guitar or upright bass, using instruments provided
by the Center. All lessons are free of charge.

JAM students often
perform at local festivals and events as well as at the end-of-year
recital and open house. This important program offers the students
a chance to reclaim and help preserve the music of their heritage.
