A WEHRLOOM HONEY & ESSENTIALS
Locally made varietal and herbal infused honey, mead (honey wine), candles, and skin care products. Taste a variety of wines made with honey, and tour our honeybee observatory to learn all about the secrets of the hive.
B TAYLOR'S GREENHOUSE
A love of mother nature’s bounty. My version of the 48 year old nursery/greenhouse family business. Must see container gardens, along with any kind of vegetable & bedding plants, herbs, shrubs, & tress. Specializing in heirlooms.
C STECOAH ARTISANS GALLERY
Wide variety of traditional and contemporary art and craft: paintings, pottery, weaving, wood, glass, photographs, jewelry and more.
D YELLOW BRANCH POTTERY & CHEESE
Hand-thrown functional stoneware pottery and Yellow Branch Farmstead Cheeses. Tour the working pottery studio and sample locally made cheeses.
E JUNK N'STYLE
Unique handmade NC bark pieces, repurposed wood décor, handmade oils, hand painted signs, as well as local featured artisans
F PINCU POTTERY / SAWMILL CREEK POTTERY
Watch artisans create pottery and bring home a piece of handcrafted, beautiful, functional art.
G SOUTHWESTERN COMMUNITY COLLEGE, NANTAHALA SCHOOL FOR THE ARTS
Arts classes emphasizing Appalachian art and culture. Building tours, studio demonstrations and art activities during the Drive About.
H THE WILD FERN / COTTEGE CRAFTSMAN
Handmade baskets from hand dyed reed, cane, and paper. Gallery also includes handcrafted pottery, jewelry, soap, metal work, local wine, cheese and coffee. Basketry weaving and pottery demonstrations during Drive-About.
In addition to these scheduled open house tours, the artisans welcome visitors to their galleries and workshops throughout the year. Normal open hours are printed in the drive-about brochure (available at the Stecoah Artisans Gallery). It is always best to call ahead during the winter season.
